What struck me about Jake is that he walked my mother through every step or move he made.
Jake entered my mom's room, introduced himself, immediately started building rapport with my wife and me, asked what my mom liked, and asked how she was when feeling up to par. After this conversation, Jake checked mom's vitals and started giving her "comforting medicine". What struck me about Jake is that he walked my mother through every step or move he made.
For example, when it was time to clean mom he kept saying, “This may be uncomfortable, but I'm sorry I have to get you all cleaned up.” Ultimately, I'm glad I was able to witness a real hero at work that day. Jake didn't just treat my mother as a patient, but as he would one of his loved ones. When mom took her last breath and transitioned, Jake still explained as he took IVs and patches and everything else off. As a recruiter in the Army, I was impressed with the way Jake built rapport with us and maintained a genuine concern for my mom. In my personal opinion, I believe Jake has the skills to train individuals on communication and interpersonal skills.
