Over and over Jacque goes above and beyond to ensure her patients are well cared for. Most recently while she was working in the COVID unit her patient deteriorated and needed an ICU bed. Jacque stayed several hours past her shift caring for this patient since she is also ICU trained until a bed was available.
Another example is that a patient with ALS expressed her fear of falling at home and was worried her family would get hurt trying to get her up. Jacque went online and ordered a lift belt for the patient out of her own money.
Outside of work, Jacque is an excellent nurse. Recently a retired colleague was diagnosed with terminal cancer. They hadn't spoken in several years, but Jacque stepped in to help provide bedside care to her and allowed her family time for respite.
