We were very fortunate to have Jackie caring for my father 2 days in a row when his care was critical. Her presence was very kind and caring. You could instantly tell her passion for her job and the way she was very professional and took an interest in the details of the day's plan, but also the days before test results, and the small progress being made in my dad’s condition. When Jackie first saw my father, he was not being responsive to her. My dad has advanced Alzheimer's and struggles with hearing and seeing. She saw the way I spoke with him (loud and short, direct questions). Jackie took the time to address him in the same manner, and he became very alert and responsive to her, and was able to help him with his care. Jackie had a nursing student as well and was extremely professional, teaching every step and making sure the student completely understood. Not only was Jackie an extremely thorough and compassionate nurse, but she was also teaching others how to be one as well! We are so grateful to have an excellent nurse whom we could trust during our crucial days in the hospital.
