Not only did Professor Sunkler meet with me multiple times to go over test material throughout the year but when I was experiencing dizziness and palpitations during a test, she took me to the ER. Professor Sunkler did not just take me to the emergency room but she also stayed with me for hours while I was waiting. Professor Sunkler checked in on me when I got home that evening and also has frequently checked on me since to make sure I was doing ok. After I took an exam and did not perform the way I normally do, Professor Sunkler wrote me an email to make sure I was ok because my grade did not reflect my other scores received. Professor Sunkler not only cares about how her students are doing academically but also physically and emotionally, I could not think of a better person more deserving of this DAISY Award.

Professor Sunkler has made an effort to ensure all of her students have the best chance at success. This has been exemplified in both her Foundations course and Pathophysiology.

Professor Sunkler was a very clear and effective lecturer. She also very clearly cared for us as students. She gave me recommendations for job applications and gave me important words of encouragement, especially when I most needed it.
