Seeing my newborn son in so much distress and then finding out he needed major surgery broke my heart. Having nothing in my control as his mother and not being able to do anything to instantly help him was gut-wrenching. But if we had to do it over, I would choose St. Rose and Nurse Jackie again and again. Her diligence, compassion, and experience over 25+ years in nursing are unmatched. She has been an absolute shining and guiding light in what has been the darkest period for my family.
As a fellow RN myself, I find Jackie to be a fearless role model, and I can only hope to be as great as she is one day. I'll forever remember and be grateful for what she's done for my son and our whole family.
