Jackie was nominated by the daughter of one of the MICU patients. She describes Jackie as a “quiet, graceful presence” who comforted their whole family in this difficult time. Jackie took the time to comfort the patient as well as the family as they worked through the care needed to bring the patient through a very critical time. Jackie “happily accommodated” the presence of the family even as she nursed her patient with kindness and loving care and brought the patient to a remarkable recovery.
