March 2022 Honoree
Jacquelyn Andrada, RN
A post-op infection that was not apparent caused a main artery to separate and I began bleeding profusely. Jacquie, the supervising nurse that night, jumped into action to slow the bleeding. I was in real trouble. I want to say that if it weren't for Jacquie's experience, super-fast response, and her accompanying me all the way to the operating room for an emergency operation, I would have surely died that night. I am lucky that the VA has such professional people as Jacquie on their crew.
Thank you, Jacquelyn, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
