I’m so thankful Jackie was the nurse on duty
My husband was experiencing a racing heart and has had issues before. After calling the VA Medical Center, they suggested we go to the nearest hospital Emergency Room. Due to COVID, I was not able to stay, but Jacquelyn Brown kept me in the loop the entire time my husband was in the ER.
Jackie’s compassion with me as the spouse not being able to be by his side was simply amazing! She truly listened to my concerns, asked questions to show she wanted him to receive the best correct care, allowed me to ask questions while giving honest answers, and explained what was happening during my absence.
The first thing my husband said when he got in the car was "My nurse was great!". Believe me, he isn't one to give credit where credit isn't due.
I’m so thankful Jackie was the nurse on duty that night. At one point I even asked her how long her shift lasted as I felt so comfortable with her. I didn't want to have to start over with a new caregiver. Thank you Jackie for making a scary experience the best that it could be.
