You gave me that security and assurance that everything was going to work out for my good.
I just want to take the time out to say thank you for all you've done for both my daughter and me through my stay in the hospital. You stepped up in that motherly role towards my daughter by comforting her when I wasn't able to. She often talked about how you made sure she was all right through all the craziness that was going on. To be honest, I can't remember a lot from that day or what happened, but she also appreciates you. Now, let me go into why I'm so grateful for you in my difficult time. Like I said, I don't remember much about you being beside my bed and feeling nothing but positive energy from you. You gave me that security and assurance that everything was going to work out for my good. I never felt once that I was alone while you were there because I honestly thought I was going to die. All I could think about was my children. I'm a single parent, and I'm all they have, and vice versa. I didn't know who was going to raise them if I was gone (their dad isn't in their lives). So that is why it meant so much that you were there for my daughter. This experience was the worst because we can always numb the physical trauma with pain pills, but mental trauma is something different. One thing that I can truly say is I'm a better person because it made me look at life from a different perspective. Life brings people into your life no matter what circumstances, even if it's just for a season to show you that people genuinely care about your well-being. I know that you were doing your job, but I believe God connected us together. Don't get me wrong, the staff did great, but your presence was different. Keep making a difference in people's lives because you're not only touching/healing people physically, you're changing people's lives. Thank you, Jacquline!
