The patient was a trauma patient and was 8 months pregnant. Jacqulyn in the ED noticed that the patient was in active labor and advocated to the nursing supervisor to intervene on the behalf of the patient. An emergency perinatal response was called, and the baby was delivered by emergency C-Section upon arrival of the team. The child was born healthy - but this could have been a different outcome if Jackie had not been such a strong patient advocate.
