Jada Winfield, RN

I was admitted to the ICU after an MRI. I had emergency surgery for a Spinal Epidural Abscess. I was in the ICU overnight or two, then transferred, where I met my amazing Nurse Jada. I have a list of 36 people that I came in contact with at Geneva General Hospital, from cleaning to upper management, who, regardless of their position they took time to say hi to me, check on me, and say they hoped I was feeling better! This was an overall amazing experience! But my Nurse Jada went above and beyond with making sure I was comfortable! I had several infiltrated veins, and Jada was there every step of the way to comfort me when I was feeling defeated! It was a very overwhelming experience, and Jada’s warm presence helped calm me! Jada is a very special young lady, and this is definitely the field that she is meant to be in! She always had a smile on her face when she came into my room, and she never made me feel like just another patient. I was a person to her, and after just dealing with a life-threatening ordeal, that was very nice to have that calming feeling!
