Jade even came to the postpartum room an hour after her shift was over to check on my wife and baby one last time.
My wife was in labor and our baby's heart rate kept dropping every few minutes. Doctors and nurses started coming into the room until we had around 10 people hovering over my wife. Naturally, my wife and I started to worry. Being completely helpless in that situation, my job is to comfort my wife and keep her spirits high.

Once the 4th doctor entered the room, the worry sank in and my head was out of the game. My fear must've been all over my face because Jade noticed. She asked if I was alright and assured me everything was going to be ok. That got my head back in the game, and I was able to put a brave face on and get my wife's mind off of what was happening in the room.

Once things settled down some, Jade was helping me get my wife's mind on something else (what our first date night would be, good restaurants, all the fun we were going to have for Christmas) so she could relax.

I don't know much about the medical side of things, but her technical skills seemed great to me as well. She was able to find his heartbeat through the ultrasound quicker than the other nurses, and she always had a smile on her face when she came into the room. When it was time to push, she had everything in hand to help Dr. G and was encouraging my wife to push. Jade even came to the postpartum room an hour after her shift was over to check on my wife and baby one last time.

I was told that she had switched from postpartum to labor and delivery, and I can confidently say that she made the right decision and Lakeside is lucky to have her!
