My husband, at 32 years old, had a major heart attack and was in the CICU for several days, and for a while, we were unsure if he would make it. Jade was his RN for several days and flawlessly maintained his IVs, monitored his balloon and Swan-Ganz catheter, intubator, and ventilator, among other devices. We mentioned how glad we were to have such a seasoned nurse, and we were shocked to hear that she has only been working as an RN for 9 months. She moved through the room with such professionalism and ease. I was distraught the first few days, and her kindness and reassurance helped me more than I can express. She was moved to other patients after a few days, but continued to check in on us, making sure we had all we needed, celebrating all the small wins, and going above and beyond the norm. Jade is amazing. She knows when to say it straight and the best times to crack a joke. We were so lucky to be in this unit and have the providers we did. My husband truly wouldn’t be here without such impeccable care. Thank you, Jade, and thank you to all the providers who cared for him; you saved his life. I am forever grateful.
