Jade Norris consistently exemplifies what it means to be an exceptional leader, mentor, and advocate. As the Nurse Intern Manager at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford, Jade supports over 100 nurse interns with unmatched dedication, kindness, and wisdom. She is known for going above and beyond, not only in fulfilling her professional responsibilities but in investing personally in each intern’s growth and well-being.
Jade’s interns describe her as approachable, responsive, and deeply compassionate. She is available at all hours, quickly replies to messages, and often visits interns on the floor to check in. Her communication is thoughtful and encouraging, and she never misses a chance to celebrate an intern’s milestone, whether it’s graduation, a BEE award, or a successful shift.
She makes herself a safe and reliable presence, offering support during personal struggles, praying with students, helping with classwork, and providing motivation during challenging times. Her encouragement has helped many find confidence in their career paths and develop a deeper sense of purpose. Jade also makes intentional efforts to connect interns with shadowing experiences and training opportunities that help them grow professionally and explore their passions within nursing.
