Sometimes in life things come to a halt. You no longer have control of your life but find yourself in the hands of others. This has been my experience with diverticulitis surgery. I cannot say it is easy to turn your life over to professional care but I know when I do not have a choice. Finding myself at the mercy of care at the Bellin Hospital, I was relieved to discover the nursing staff there and their proficiency in caring for the patients. Among these great and efficient nurses stands Jade Vosters. How does one explain the special, sensitive concern that Jade has for her patients? She seems to discern that beyond the immediate physical obvious concerns that a patient has, is a mental, feeling condition, which is a real part of getting better. She sees you as a person who needs her help and takes it very seriously. I have to say; knowing that she really cared about me gave me peace, which was so important to me in those lonely 10 days and nights. I lay in bed unknowing what my future would be. Just knowing she was at the nurse’s station was comforting. This all contributed to a much-appreciated stay at the Bellin Hospital for me and I will never forget the passionate nursing care I received under the care of Jade.
