I have recently had a baby, my third to be exact, and Jadie has been my nurse for all three. I have always loved her attitude and her ability to make me feel comfortable in any situation, but with my last baby, things were much different. Not only was I in the hospital as a patient, but also was a nurse this time and so I looked at my care a little bit different. Sometimes you feel like your caregivers expect you to know more and don't always look at the fact that every nurse has her own specialty. Me being a Med/Surg nurse, I had no clue when it comes to OB. That was not the case with Jadie. She always answered my questions and was willing to educate me on anything and everything I wanted or needed to know and did it without making me feel I should have known it. Even though I had two previous children, each experience has been different. I decided to nurse this child when I didn't do it before. I was clueless and to start it wasn't the best experience. I was to the point of frustration and considered giving up when Jadie came on to be my night nurse and spent hours helping me and explaining every little thing because she wanted to try to help me. She made me feel so comfortable in a really not so comfortable situation. Although I have had children, and I had down the basics when it came to caring for a baby, I had other concerns. Now came the other difficulties and scares I had about taking care of three children, very different in age, and not making one feel left out or neglected. It helped that I was able to talk to Jadie openly. Knowing she has been through this situation in her own life helped tremendously. Jadie is a special kind of nurse.

This nurse made me feel like I was right at home. She was so very helpful. She checked me quite frequently to where I felt she was one of my support persons. Any question I had she would answer and not only answer, but give me plenty of information to answer any future questions I may have. My labor and delivery couldn't have gone better and I was blessed to have her as my nurse.
