Jadynn has shown exemplary care and compassion today. She is always a great nurse but her care for a complex patient and her family went above and beyond. A critically ill patient, declining for days and two loving involved sisters, we are having on-going care discussions and after I left the room, the family pursued further discussion with Jadynn. She caringly explained a DNR again as well as clarified treatments up to that, giving the patient's family comfort and facilitating discussion to appropriate care for a gravely ill patient. All while continuing to provide excellent medical care to her patient. The family expressed great appreciation for her.
