Tonight I went to the hospital to see what was going on with my dad since no doctor called all day. His nurse came into the room and told me my dad decided to have no treatments and wanted comfort care. She outlined everything that was going on in a clear, informative way, and showed respect to my dad. She was advocating for what he asked her for. She comforted me and answered all my questions and told me the next steps in his care. She was so passionate about my dad. She had kind things to say about him. She is the kind of nurse who goes above and beyond, for her patient and their family. She was a true blessing in a time of great pain for me and my dad. I will forever be grateful she was the one there. She encompasses everything a great nurse is.
