Jaime took over my care just before I moved into transition after 13 hours of Pitocin. My contractions were getting very intense, my little guy was tolerating them ok - not great - and I was unbelievably grateful for my epidural! Jaime brought a new sense of energy to the room after a long day. She encouraged me in my decision to labor down once I was fully dilated and support my husband and mom in the final hours before my son born. When it was finally time to deliver, she was exactly what I needed - supportive, encouraging, and straight forward. She took amazing care of the four of us, making my delivery a nearly stress-free experience! She provided that last burst of strength to get us through and I would have been lost without her.

In my head, I know that this is what every L&D nurse does every day with each nervous laboring patient. But, my heart begs to differ! Jaime connected with me - and not just a nurse/patient connection, but a real person to person connection. It was an experience I never expected, and now even three months later is nearly impossible to put into words. Simply put, if Jaime isn't a DAISY Nurse, I don't know who is.
