Nurse Jamie was one of the best nurses who have ever taken care of me. She listened to me and really cared about me. She knew that I hadn’t been eating well, so at each meal, she checked on me and if I couldn’t stomach what was being served she got me something else. Even going downstairs to get me chicken fingers and soup. She helped me shower when I didn’t feel comfortable having my male CNA help me due to the scars on my body.

Jamie even came in the next day and again helped me shower, even when she wasn’t my nurse. What touched me most was when she shared with me her own fight with cancer and how hard it was for her to be strong when she felt so weak. The kinship I found with her made me feel so comfortable, but mostly she made me feel less alone.
