I had the pleasure of meeting this student during her time as a student nurse at Nash UNC Healthcare, and I found her to be a pleasant, respectful, and highly motivated young woman. From the beginning, this student demonstrated a clear goal of becoming a critical care nurse and showed a strong desire to learn as much as possible to reach that goal.

As part of the program, students were given the opportunity to select their patient care assignments. This student consistently chose the most complex cases, using each as a learning opportunity to deepen her clinical knowledge and skills. She approached every challenge with determination and never hesitated to step out of her comfort zone. Her critical thinking abilities were evident, and she regularly asked insightful questions when faced with uncertainty, an essential trait in healthcare.

Each student also rotated through the role of team leader, and this student handled this responsibility with confidence and organization. Even during difficult situations, she remained composed, learned from the experience, and thoughtfully shared her insights with her peers to support their learning as well.

When I think of this student, I think of someone who is respectful, hardworking, well-mannered, and driven to succeed. I have no doubt that she will excel in whatever path she chooses, and I look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes in the future.
