Jaimie really went above and beyond for a patient this past week. We had a patient that has severe depression and at times periods of confusion. She has been super anxious and depressed due to her discharge plan and having to possibly go to rehab. The patient really wanted to go outside to get some fresh air and get out of her room. After a long, busy day on the unit, Jaimie took this patient to the healing garden and spent over an hour with her after her shift was over. Jaimie went above and beyond to help comfort this patient. She is doing an amazing job in her role and I am so proud of her. She is deserving of the DAISY award!
