Jake Nicholson has made nursing school easy in the sense that he cares about what he is teaching students to allow them to be competent and confident nurses. He cares about his students and updates outdated lecture material to reflect current EBP practices in a clear and concise manner. He takes the time to ensure all students are grasping the full picture and will take the time to further explain a topic if a student needs help. He makes learning exciting and relatable by sharing stories of when he was a nursing student, stories from work, and stories about his family and friends. His knowledge and confidence in nursing is inspiring and motivates me to study so I can one day be a nurse like him. The way he teaches and cares for his students has inspired me to maybe one day also teach or become a clinical instructor. He has set the standard for being an amazing teacher, and I feel lucky to have an instructor who knows his material and is passionate about teaching students.
