I am writing on behalf of my mother, a patient who spoke of the extraordinary care she received from nurse Jaldeep Singh. She relayed to me the compassionate and professional nursing care he displayed when she reported to him her frustration resulting from multiple interruptions throughout the night which rendered sleep impossible. On the second night, Jaldeep returned and was again assigned to be my mom’s nurse. While ensuring safe care at all times, he worked collaboratively with physicians and nursing colleagues to obtain appropriate orders which enabled my mom to get a good night of rest, an equally important part of her care as the medical interventions. Not only did he facilitate the above process, but she describes the many small ways in which he showed dedication to the nursing profession—taking care of all the nursing tasks before her bedtime, ensuring sufficient blankets were in place to keep my mom warm throughout the night, while also applying warm packs as necessary (to name a few).

Jaldeep provided good nursing care that would generally be expected of anyone in the profession, however, he didn’t stop there, but looked at the individual patient, identified her specific care needs, and made sure that those needs were addressed in a satisfactory, timely, and professional way. Thank you Jaldeep for making such a huge difference during my mother’s hospital stay.
