April 2026 Honoree
James Adamy, BSN, RN
James took the time to get to know my sister by asking me about her patterns and tendencies. He listened to caregivers, her husband, and me. He respected my sister by speaking to her as an adult. Some people speak to her as if she were a child. He understood a dementia patient.
He gently woke her out of a sound sleep rather than startle her to give her meds. He was patient and soft-spoken to ease her tension and had excellent bedside manner. Throughout the night checked on her and asked if he could get me anything. He touched my heart with his attentive, kind, compassionate, personable, and friendly demeanor.

Thank you, James, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
