There is a patient with special needs who doesn’t verbalize very well at times. James, on several occasions, has gone into her room and sang to her to help her relax. Even when he is not the primary nurse assigned to her, he is always helpful and takes great pride in the care he delivers. He is the embodiment of the spirit of the DAISY Award.
