Over this last weekend, my mother was hospitalized in the CCU at INOVA Fairfax. It was a very rough time for her and our family because my mother experienced a scary side effect of delusions/paranoia due to the doses of steroids given to manage her illness. My mother reacted very harshly to many around her during this time and James was one of those who took the brunt of her anger.
I watched James deal with my mother. He was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding throughout all that she put him through. He treated her and our family with the greatest of respect and professionalism. In addition to the care he provided, James actually took the time the following evening to call and reassure my family that our mother was improving.
James was a gift to my mother and our family during this difficult time and I know that no amount of thanks would ever be enough for all that he did to help us through this tough time. There are lots of great nurses in this world, but I believe James is one of the best. I am grateful he was there to care for my mother and for her family too! Inova Fairfax and the nursing profession are very fortunate to count James as one of their own.
