Jim came in and talked to us, told funny stories, and made F feel at ease. But the most important thing was how he explained the next procedure coming up, which we were both nervous about.
My husband F had 2 stents inserted with a third done a week later. He will also be coming back for a heart ablation in October. We were both very nervous about all the sudden health issues with my husband. He’s always the strong one that takes care of our family. This was an uncomfortable position for him to be in. In comes Nurse Jim to the rescue! He made my husband feel less stressed before the procedure. When F was recovering and had to lay in bed for a couple of hours, he kept asking me what time it was. Jim came in and talked to us, told funny stories, and made F feel at ease. But the most important thing was how he explained the next procedure coming up, which we were both nervous about. He showed us pictures of what was going to happen and explained everything in terms that were easy to understand and why it was required. Sometimes, I think people in the medical profession are so accustomed to medical terms, they might lose sight of those of us who are not and might need more simple explanations. Thank you, Jim for that! Thank you for making F feel comfortable and taking away his worries for a while. He made F’s stay and procedure so much more comfortable. Jim is a great asset to your cath lab team.

Jim was by my side from the time I registered to the time I left the hospital explaining my procedure and every step I would do afterwards. He is an excellent nurse; he is kind, understanding, and helpful. I would want him to be my nurse every time I come for anything that needs to be done at the hospital. Thank you so much for easing my fears.

I had heart ablation surgery in October. My wonderful nurse Jim, took great care of me. I was very nervous and scared before the surgery. He eased the fear. He talked about what to expect and was very comforting. After surgery, he made me feel better right away. He talked of other things which took my mind off of my recovery. I enjoyed his personality very much. Thanks to Jim, nursing is his calling. Be thankful that he works for you. You are lucky.
