James helped me through a very traumatic experience. His compassion and calm demeanor made almost losing my foot less scary. He never left my side. He kept the conversation light and sometimes amusing. He listened to me and responded with genuine concern and respect for what I was feeling. He is an outstanding nurse and his personality and attitude in that ER made it much easier for me to handle to situation I was going through.

My husband was brought in with a very serious injury. James was his nurse in the trauma unit. As his wife I was not let in the room due to the seriousness of the injury. When I as allowed in, James was there with my husband making everything calm and less stressful. He was just keeping my husband relaxed in conversation and even joking. When my husband was out of surgery and in a room all he could do was talk how grateful he was for James, and he continued to praise James when he got home. I don’t know what was happening in that trauma room, but I know that James was our angel that day because my husband isn’t one to go one endlessly about someone. So, thank you to James for being there when I was not allowed to be by my husband’s side who I have been with for 46 years my childhood sweetheart and lifelong love.
