I was admitted late in the day because of persistent hematuria. I was originally to be day surgery but because of complications was changed to inpatient status. Upon entering my room, James greeted me and immediately there flowed from him to me assurance and caring spirit. Being a physician, I was not a happy patient - "shoe on other foot". He sat with me and reassured me I would be fine despite the heavy amount of hematuria. He had to insert a three-way catheter with irrigation and was most gentle, sympathetic and caring. His whole demeanor brought down my anxiety and fears. He was there through the night answering my many bothersome calls - always saying that it will be ok. He is a credit to the level of excellence one expects at Hinsdale Hospital. You are fortunate he is on your staff. He is a gift from God with a caring attitude. I was so happy with his care.
