Jim is an amazing nurse, a guy’s guy. He is always friendly when he greets his patients. He jokes with them while giving great care and meeting all of their needs. He served in the Navy and now works at the VA. He knows the issues, both personally and professionally, that veterans are experiencing. He provides the highest standard of care. He calls me to go over changes in meds and issues since my last appointment and goes over questions, even the uncomfortable ones that are stupid. He is always there to lend a hand. He runs a hunting program with land for veterans to hunt safely and privately. It offers options for handicapped veterans. This is a nice option for veterans to have. Jim also volunteers with other veteran organizations outside the clinic. He does a great job. He thanks me for my service even though he had also served during wartime. He has pride in his work. He is always helping around the clinic to assist staff with patients because they are busy, patients are aggressive, or they need to be lifted. Jim helps veterans to cars and he takes time to listen and help them understand. He knows about veteran benefits and shares what he knows. He is proud of his service and his job. He likes taking care of veterans. He has even helped veterans with car problems in the parking lot. He is a good moral person who veterans trust with their care. He is committed to his veterans and helps them get what they deserve and earned serving our country. He does things in a way veterans understand. You are lucky to have him as a nurse, and so are the patients. He is great at what he does.
