James Roth 2025, RN
James is a fantastic nurse and a great person. He exemplifies everything the DAISY Award symbolizes. James serves the veterans with enthusiasm and cheerfulness. He is always personable and goes above and beyond to meet their needs. He is always the first nurse to assist another nurse, seeking out opportunities to be helpful. James is also a great resource. I know if I ask him for anything he will help or figure out the answers.

James’ quick actions and heroism saved my life. Last week, I was swallowing a pill and began to choke. I legitimately could not talk or breathe, as the pill was stuck in my airway. He immediately started the Heimlich maneuver on me and was able to get it up. I will be forever grateful to him. His actions were selfless and adept, but he is very humble about it.
