I would like to recognize James from the Hospitalist for his exceptional dedication and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care. His recent efforts coordinating complex surgical care for one of his patients exemplify the highest standards of clinical excellence, advocacy, and professionalism. 

Faced with a patient who required surgical intervention, James took it upon himself to ensure that every aspect of her care was seamlessly aligned. Recognizing the potential for delays and gaps during a challenging care transition, he worked tirelessly across multiple specialties, including anesthesiology and vascular surgery, to safeguard her timely access to the procedure she needed.

James spent significant time communicating with providers, clarifying clinical needs, and ensuring all pre-operative requirements were completed. His proactive coordination prevented the patient from "falling through the cracks," a risk that could have resulted in unnecessary delays and worsening clinical outcomes. Instead, because of his persistence and advocacy, the patient received her surgery promptly and with full confidence that her care team was aligned.
