If I were an ER patient, I would want Jim to be my nurse. He is consistently respectful to patients, visitors, and staff. He has perfected the art of using please and thank you. Even during quick turnover-type care Jim “connects” with his patients. He never fails to be kind. He never fails to seek permission to perform even simple, routine procedures. He teaches, reassures, and encourages. These traits are RARE in an ER environment on such a consistent basis. What I appreciate most about Jim is perhaps selfish. He never fails to make me feel good about myself. I’ve been an RN for nearly 30 years, in a variety of environments. James Warlick is the best nurse I’ve ever known. And I have known some excellent nurses. In a crisis, I am relieved when he is on. He anticipates and acts on what is needed. No ego problems. No complaining. Just fabulous reliable help when it counts. P.S. not just saying this for the Cinnabons!
