James Wittman, ADN, RN

I had the pleasure of having James as my nurse during my hospital stay. James also went above and beyond to meet my specific needs. As a mother who is two months postpartum and exclusively breastfeeding, I was concerned about maintaining my milk supply while hospitalized. James took the initiative to ensure I had access to a breast pump from Labor & Delivery and even arranged for my milk to be safely stored in a freezer. This small act of kindness made a world of difference for me, as my baby depends on my milk. Throughout my stay, no matter what was asked of him, James responded immediately, without hesitation, and always with a smile. His passion for nursing is evident in the compassionate care he provides. He truly embodies the qualities of an extraordinary nurse—dedicated, kind, knowledgeable, and selfless. For these reasons, I wholeheartedly nominate James Wittman, RN, for the DAISY Award. His outstanding commitment to patient care and leadership among his team deserves to be recognized and celebrated.
