We hadn't had much time to process my husband's sudden diagnosis and what was happening. We went to the hospital for a procedure and he and I were greeted by the most welcoming nurse. Jami instantly recognized our insecurities and fears and at that moment, she became our sense of comfort. As she prepped my husband for his procedure, she went above and beyond to make sure we were both well taken care of and understood everything that was happening. It was obvious to us that her department was extremely busy at the time and she was working with multiple patients, but never for a second did we ever feel less than the most important people in the room, as I'm sure she was doing for all her patients. Afterward, my husband told me that Jami held his hand throughout his entire procedure. We are both so appreciative of her compassionate gesture and her comforting presence. Jami is a true asset to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital and I can't begin to thank her enough for the genuine kindness and patience that she demonstrated during our visit and time of need. May God continue to use your spiritual gift to help others.
