September 2023 Honoree
Jamie C Lenox, RN, BSN
My husband was admitted after falling and having low hemoglobin levels. He has Parkinson's disease and dementia.
Hospital stays cause him anxiety and confusion. He had asked to get out of bed about a hundred times and I was at the end of my rope. Jamie was a very caring influence and found a baseball game on TV that calmed him. She also took the time to give him his meds with apple sauce to help him swallow.
She was very accessible and responded quickly to his needs. Her friendly calm attitude was very reassuring. A great example of a caring, professional nurse. Certainly, an asset to St. Luke's Hospital.
