Jamie was attentive and caring for the patient and the patient's family. She was concerned with keeping the patient comfortable and the family informed of care and procedures. Jamie genuinely cares about the individuals that she is treating.

My family has recently been facing the tragic decline in my Grandmother's health. Most of my family traveled hundreds of miles to be at my Grandmother's side. During this tough time, Jamie was not only there to care for my Grandmother, but also made my family feel comfortable as well as kept us informed the entire time. When I heard of Jamie's professionalism and willingness to help, I felt inclined to nominate her for the DAISY Award. Her dedication and compassion haven't gone unnoticed and I am ever so grateful. Thank you, Jamie.

Jamie went above and beyond her call of duty while my mom was in the hospital. She was always courteous and caring. Jamie would calmly explain any procedures she was doing and was very quick with any requests from my mom or my family.

My mother was recently hospitalized due to a severe heart attack with no expectation for an extended life. Not only was Jamie there for my mother's needs with compassion and professionalism, but also attended to the multitude of family member's needs as well. Jamie offered information from health expectations to local dining and was comforting to the entire family. She is very deserving of the DAISY Award.

My grandmother was admitted to the hospital after suffering a massive heart attack at the age of 86. By the time I arrived she was alert and somewhat responsive, but still in rough shape. Jamie happened to be the nurse on duty for all four days that I spent visiting my grandmother, and she was there to help as we went from recovery, to comfort care, back to recovery and eventually back to comfort care. Never once did it seem like Jamie had anything other than the best interest of the patient in mind. As the situation changed fairly rapidly, Jamie was straightforward and compassionate with my grandmother, as well as open and honest with the family about what was happening and what to expect moving forward. She went out of her way to clearly explain the care being administered and took the time to answer any questions and address the family's concerns.
In what I would consider the gravest situation we have experienced at the hospital I was pleasantly surprised to have a good experience in many ways. The personal attention my grandmother received from Jamie, not only made it easier to cope with the situation facing us but left us at ease when we eventually had to leave, knowing that people like Jamie would be taking care of my grandmother. For that reason, I would like to not only nominate Jamie for DAISY Award but also thank her for helping us all through a tough situation.
