Jamie was awesome!! I can't put into words how grateful we all are to have had her as our nurse. She made us feel like she was a part of our extended family and shared our concerns and our mother's accomplishments every day. She always took the extra time reassuring us and answering every single question and concern we had. She made sure we as the family, were taken care of just as much as the patient. I really wish we could bundle her up and take her with us for the rest of this process. She is irreplaceable.

One night during the recent holiday staffing crunch and increase in census, Jamie came to PCU to help out after her shift in Special Care Nursery. She consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to participate as part of the team. The comments made by the family above exemplify the great care that Jamie consistently provides to her patients and families.

Jamie is very team oriented. There is not a unit in this facility that she would not make every effort to help in any capacity. Recently during a hospital census increase, Jamie volunteered to open an overflow unit and stay past her shift to staff the overflow unit. When that idea did not happen, she went over to 2A/2B and started helping with discharges, patient care, etc. in an effort to relieve the stress of a very high census. Jamie has requested to cross train to our Peds unit and our Mom/Baby unit so that she can be helpful in times of need. She is a role model and leader among her peers. Thank you, Jamie!
