I received a page from Jamie on a new admission that arrived to the floor from the emergency room. What ensued after left me somewhat speechless. Jamie proceeded to give me quite possibly the best patient summary/rundown/new admission information I have gotten in my entire career (including the residents and other doctors). She provided clear direction and a focused pleasant rundown of what was going on with the patient with pertinent positive and negative findings and all necessary info in a very clear manner.
The excellence at which she did this should be used as a baseline for what every nurse should strive for.
I wanted to take a moment to let you know of the excellent job that she did and how amazingly impressed I was with her!
