This co-worker is an exceptional nurse with a plethora of medical skills, patience, and demeanor to assist and exemplify the outstanding qualities of mental health nursing. She is extremely dedicated by showing up to work. She often recognizes medical situations a patient may be experiencing prior to emergencies. She assists other units with medical scenarios and is extremely knowledgeable. 

On a personal level, Jamie has maintained 2 jobs in the healthcare field, earned her RN degree, dedicated time to her family and unfortunately lost a very close family member.  During this time, she remained unbreakable, she remained determined, and was a tremendous example for all those around her.  She assists or takes on assignments that range from wiping down and cleaning the unit to running emergencies with MDs. 

She is an inspiration, and the VA is fortunate to have such an asset here at Alvin C. York. Her professionalism and wealth of medical knowledge deserve recognition.
