Jamie recently cared for a patient who had become homeless shortly before being admitted to the hospital. The only belongings he had were the clothes he came in with. When Jamie learned that the patient was being discharged, she took it upon herself to provide him with a suitcase and duffel bags that were filled with clothes, hygiene supplies, shoes, and a winter coat and boots. She also purchased a Culver's gift card for the patient because that was his favorite place to get a hamburger. Jamie truly exemplifies what it means to be a caring, compassionate nurse and to care for the patient as a whole, and not just what he or she was admitted for. It is truly a pleasure to work alongside her!
