January 2019 Honoree
jamie mainville, RN
Jamie changed her assignment mid-shift to care for a very critical patient who needed increasing invasive interactions. It was identified that the patient needed to be transported to BUMC after the change of shifts. The night shift was short-staffed and the Emergency Room was holding patients. Jamie agreed to stay and transport the patient keeping her over until 10:30 pm (from 07:00). Even when they discussed using a helicopter, despite Jamie's fear of heights, she agreed to put the patient's needs above her own fears. Jamie is a nurse who always does what's best for her patients.
Thank you, Jamie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
