During the time that Jamie was my nurse, there were a lot of unanswered questions about what was happening. She was a calm and steady presence, she offered compassion, a listening ear, reassurance based on her years of experiences observed in herself and others, clarification of anything I might have misunderstood, and encouragement for not only me but also for my parents.
