I believe that Jamie should receive the Daisy Award. She is an excellent nurse. She can lift your spirits by being cheerful and helpful while being professional. Jamie shows concern about your feelings and needs to make your stay feel very special. While passing medications, she noticed my blood pressure has been very low. She explained possible causes for low blood pressure after surgery. Jamie noticed I was on two blood pressure medications. I was on these medications for my hypertension which we discussed. The decision was made to hold my blood pressure meds and continue to check on the blood pressure during her shift. Jamie’s detailed discharge instructions were greatly appreciated! Being a retired RN myself I am proud to know that Jamie is a credit to our profession with her cheerful, caring sense of humor that helps to cheer up her patients! She was very thorough and made me feel very comfortable. I felt safe in her care, God bless her.
