Jamie Roberts has been outstanding in her support to us as a whole family. My husband has had a shock terminal diagnosis, which very much came out of the blue and traumatized us. Our daughter is in the middle of a university degree, which involves her living away from home, which she has found incredibly difficult. It has affected her concentration levels immensely, and at points, she has wanted to give up. This has proved very upsetting. Jamie suggested she could offer some support by providing letters to the university to explain the situation and how it is affecting our daughter’s ability to complete work on time and to a level she was previously achieving. This situation has life-challenging outcomes that spread far beyond the initial diagnosis. The tentacles of a cancer prognosis touch every member of a family and have the most profound and life-changing impacts. The letter Jamie has written has taken some of the stress off and given our daughter a little more time to complete work. Having Jamie’s support, experience, and insights at this difficult time has proved invaluable, and we, as a whole family, will be forever grateful to her.
