Jamie clearly has a devotion to her patients not only from a clinical perspective but from a personal view as well. Jamie had a patient who had told her about a home situation where they felt very unsafe. Jamie continued to worry about this patient and his wife. She reached out to the area Office on Aging to help them. When that did not seem to be a fruitful resolution to the problem, Jamie actually reached out to law enforcement to see what she could do for this couple. In the end, she was able to help them with a very difficult situation they were going through in which they were being financially taken advantage of by several other people. She not only cared about their physical health but also their mental health. In sharing this story with me, you can hear the compassion and caring that she has for other people. Jamie is truly a wonderful person and a true humanitarian.
