When I first left the ICU, I did not know if Jamie Spencer was going to be taking care of me again, as she was the first nurse that cared for me when I was admitted. Jamie is a very sweet and loving person. I really wanted to meet my new daughter for the first time, and Jamie was determined to do anything and everything to help me see her. My daughter was immediately transferred to NICU after birth. Jamie was going to put me on a stretcher and transfer me to see my daughter, but she was also concerned about my health, safety, and rising blood pressure. When she noticed my blood pressure was too high, she immediately started convincing me that everything was ok. I was unable to go to the NICU to see my daughter because my blood pressure was too high. However, Jamie went down to the NICU to take a picture of my daughter, so I could see her for the first time.
The next day, Jamie came to see me and follow-up to see if I was better. She was not my nurse that day, but her concern and love were so great that she had to check on me. I was in the NICU visiting my daughter at the time, and Jamie was able to locate me. She was so glad to see me and the baby. This gesture demonstrates what a great, loving, caring, and humble nurse she is.
