Jamie Tallon was the delivery nurse that took care of my wife when she was in labor. She was incredible! My mother-in-law was with us and agreed that Jamie was the best we have ever heard of when it came to a delivery nurse. She worked hard for what seemed to be a short labor. I'm convinced this labor would have taken twice as long had it not been for the quick thinking and great explanation of everything that was happening and what was going to happen. Her expert coaching allowed my mother-in-law and I to be involved and assist my wife through the labor and delivery process. She needs to teach people how she does what she does, and how she was able to walk us through giving birth. This was beyond the gold standard. This was a diamond standard! To top it off, after birth she continued to care for my wife amazingly until her shift was over. Always making sure she had everything she needed. Making sure that she everything she did, was doing, and what was about to happen was understood and not frightening. She is a shining example of what is desperately needed in the medical field, that perfect blend of professionalism and compassion combining into what was by all accounts an exciting, not scary (which as a first-time father I thought impossible), and positively memorable experience.
