Jamie went out of her way and went to the gift shop to buy her patient a brush and some shampoo. She knew how comfortable a nice shower was to a patient and wanted to make her patient feel special at this most vulnerable time for her patient.
This small act of kindness is a reminder that helps our patients heal. The compassion that Jamie has for her patients improves the quality of care our patients receive. Although, Jamie feels she was just doing her job. These behaviors have a powerful impact on the experience that her patient had.
